Kelly's 41st Birthday!!!

Kelly celebrated his 41st birthday this year and the kids insisted he have an Optimus Prime birthday cake for a surprise. Well it turned out pretty good for a rookie try, if I do say so myself!

Wallace and Kelly are trying, VERY HARD, to convince me that we need a car just like Bumblebee from the movie Transformers. Wallace insisted we drive through car lots trying to find one to buy for Daddy's birthday. Turns out Mom's a spoiled sport and said no but we compromised and Wallace got his Dad a model of that same "dream car!" Jordan opted to buy Dad a dog figurine as she is convinced she deserves a puppy (never going to happen!) and I got Kelly an Ipod touch.

This day was the last day of life as we knew it.......

Kite flying

What's a summer without the simple pleasure of flying a kite? My kids mastered their kites this summer, far better than the failed attempts last year. It was a draw though...not sure who enjoyed themselves more...the kids or Kelly!

Manitoba Sunflower Queen Competition

Well, this was a very special July for our Jordan as she was asked to be a flower presenter for the Manitoba Sunflower Queen Competition. We searched all over Winnipeg for the perfect dress...found it, had practices and finally, the big day came.

She was amazing, right in her comfort zone up on the stage...I did her hair and make-up for the big night and boy was she on cloud nine!

Summer fun and festivals...

We made our way over to Gretna this summer for their annual festival, kids had a blast on the pony as you can see. This same weekend, I had reached my limit for the town pool so I went out and bought the kids their own! Best decision we made as the kids used the pool everyday and I didn't have to leave my backyard!!!!!
